DESIGN & EXPERIENCE STRATEGY LEAD

I led product vision, design and experience strategy for the incubation of Tap to Everything, which is live with Apple & Samsung Wallets.
Over the course of several weeks, I led a core cross-functional team of 7 people, as we explored, defined and designed Visa’s new gesture-native tap system, owning product vision, use case definition and 0-1 design execution

THE PROBLEM

Visa’s Tap portfolio was already widely successful, — but the question was, where could it go next?
When our tech and business leads approached us, the ask was simple: where else could users tap? But the more we dug in, the more we saw that the real opportunity wasn’t about where. It was about what.

THE INSIGHT

What else could users do with the tap? What other commerce problems could the tap solve for? The insight was clear: tap wasn’t just a feature — it had the potential to become a system-level interaction model. One that could turn fragmented financial tasks into something as seamless and native as AirDrop or Apple Pay

THE SOLUTION

We identified fragmented, archetypal financial tasks like pay, add card, and authenticate and aligned them to this new gesture-native interaction model, through core UX principles and patterns that would scale across devices and systems. The result was Tap to Everything

THE RESULTS

By redefining the tap as a universal interaction model for fragmented financial tasks, we helped fuel the growth of Tap portfolio across key markets

Tap to Everything wasn’t designed as a one-off interaction. It was designed as a behavioral model — a way to unify fragmented financial tasks into one fluid, gesture-native experience.

As we continue expanding the system into new regions and surfaces, the behavior continues to prove its adaptability — unlocking use cases we hadn’t imagined at the start. Tap to add. Tap to send. Tap to authenticate. Tap to… whatever comes next.
